God Has An Eternal Purpose
I received Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord in May 1973, while traveling through Burkina Faso in West Africa. Loving the Lord and wanting to serve the Lord in some way I returned to New Zealand and enrolled at Bible College. Under God's sovereign arrangement this was where I was to spend the next three years of my life experiencing the fact "that all things work together for good to those who love God."
A short time after graduating from Bible College, and again under God's sovereign arrangement I attended a meeting of the church in Takapuna. A message was being spoken from a conference recently given by Witness Lee, a co-worker of Watchman Nee. In the course of that meeting I heard for the first time about God's eternal purpose from the book of Ephesians (Eph.3:11). I didn't know God had an eternal purpose and I certainly didn't know what it was. Inwardly, I felt deeply touched by the Lord Jesus. From that time onwards there was a hunger and appetite within me to know and experience the things of God's eternal purpose.
As I began to fellowship more with the brothers and sisters in the church in Takapuna and be exposed to the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee questions regarding the purpose of my human life and Christian life were answered. I saw that God created me with a human spirit and that the Christ I had received as my Saviour in West Africa now dwelt in my spirit (2 Timothy 4:22) as my life (Colossians 3:4) and even my everything. I learned how to contact Him, enjoy Him and participate in His full salvation for the accomplishing of His eternal purpose. M.B
